Manufacturing automation

From the plant floor to the dispatch dock.

Automation for manufacturing plants: machine and production data and OEE on the shop floor, quality and maintenance workflows, and the back office from order to dispatch. Each project is built to order for its plant.

Start with one line or one process. A person replies within one working day.

Manufacturing · Plant board · example data
An example plant board for shift A at a plant in Pune, at 11:20. Four figures for the shift: 1,840 of 2,400 parts made, 18 minutes of downtime, a first-pass yield of 98.1% and one of three dispatches gone. Three lines with their OEE against a 75% target: Line 1 running at 82%, Line 2 running slow at 71% with a longer cycle since 10:40, and Line 3 at 64% during a planned changeover. Maintenance: the CNC-04 machine has preventive maintenance due in six running hours, planned for the 13:30 changeover. Quality: lot 2210 has one non-conformance in 50 parts checked and is held for review. Today's three dispatches against their orders: one dispatched, one packing and on time for its truck, and one waiting for Line 2.

Example data, not a real plant.

What it covers

Four areas of the plant, one way of working.

The shop floor, quality and maintenance, and the back office, plus custom projects for what a plant does its own way. Start with one area and add the next.

01 · Shop floor

Shop-floor automation

Machine and production data from every line, turned into OEE and production tracking that the shift can see while it can still act.

  • OEE from availability, performance and quality
  • Production tracking, shift by shift

02 · Quality and maintenance

Quality and maintenance

Inspections, non-conformances and preventive maintenance run as workflows, so a held lot or a service that is due does not wait in someone's inbox.

  • Inspections and their results
  • Non-conformances, held and reviewed
  • Preventive maintenance workflows

Built to order

Built to order for each plant.

No two plants run the same way. We build around the way yours already works, starting with one line or one process, and take the next step when the first is in use.

  1. Walk the floor

We walk the plant with your team: the lines, the checks and the paperwork between the floor and the office.

  2. Agree the first line or process

Together we choose where to start, and agree what it should show and do.

  3. Build

We build it around the way that line or process already works, with your team checking it on the floor.

  4. Roll out line by line

Once the first is in use, the same work moves to the next line or process, one at a time.

  5. Support

We stay on to support what we built, and adjust it as the plant changes.

Questions

Questions about manufacturing automation.

Short answers. For anything about your own plant, write to hello@hexab.in.

What does manufacturing automation from Hexabin cover?

Four areas. The shop floor: machine and production data, OEE and production tracking. Quality and maintenance: inspections, non-conformances and preventive maintenance workflows. ERP and back office: order to dispatch, inventory, procurement and approvals. And custom projects, built to order for each plant.

Can we see OEE for our lines?

Yes. Shop-floor automation uses machine and production data to show OEE and production tracking for your lines.

How are inspections and maintenance handled?

As workflows. Inspections and their results, non-conformances and preventive maintenance each follow a set path, so the people who need to act see what is waiting for them.

What does it cover in the back office?

The ERP and back-office work from order to dispatch, with inventory, procurement and approvals.

Is it a fixed package, or built for our plant?

Built for your plant. Each project is built to order: we walk the floor with your team, agree the first line or process, build it, roll it out line by line and support it.

Where do you work, and how do we start?

We work with companies in India, the UAE and Latin America, from our base in Chennai. To start, write to hello@hexab.in or use the Talk to us form.
